A Milestone in Our Mission to Design for Good

After months of deep reflection, documentation, and intentional change, we’re proud to share that Creates Cool is now a Certified B Corporation.

This certification recognizes that we meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency—measuring the full impact of how we operate, not just what we create.

What is B Corp Certification?

Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet high standards of verified social and environmental performance, transparency, and legal accountability. Certification is issued by B Lab, and unlike other certifications, it evaluates the entire company, including:

  • Employee practices and workplace culture

  • Governance and accountability

  • Environmental impact of services and operations

  • Community engagement and charitable commitments

  • Client experience and business ethics

To earn this certification, we completed an in-depth B Impact Assessment, achieved a verified score of 80+, made a legal commitment to stakeholder governance, and agreed to public transparency. We’ll be recertified every three years to ensure we continue meeting and exceeding these standards.

Why It Matters to Us

At Creates Cool, we believe design has the power to create meaningful change. Every project we take on is rooted in our commitment to a better future—for people, communities, and the planet.

Becoming a Certified B Corporation affirms this mission, but more importantly, it holds us accountable to living it fully—not just through our work, but through how we work:

  • Fair pay and flexible support for our team

  • Transparent and ethical client relationships

  • Sustainable design practices

  • Ongoing investment in community and nonprofit partnerships

A clear stance on equity, responsibility, and regenerative design

Thank you to our team, clients, and community for being part of this journey. We’re proud to be building something that goes beyond design—and toward real, lasting impact.

Our goal is simple:

To build a healthier, happier studio, deliver more empowering client experiences, and contribute to a more livable planet.

So What’s Next?

This certification is a major step forward—but it’s not the finish line. We see it as a foundation for continuous improvement. As we grow, we’ll continue to use the B Corp framework to guide how we design, hire, partner, and lead.
